I bought this device one week back and been using it.. I Have Echo, echo dot 2 and 3rd generation and have Echo spot (use these devices in my house and work place). My Honest opinion is Echo plus 2 is the best when compared to the sound quality and the Bass (even compared to Google Home which I also have). So take it from the person who has tested all the devices.. Not a huge difference when compared to Echo or Google home, as they both are also great devices.. Though I say Amazon echo plus 2 is the best device i have... Still i just love Amazon Echo 3rd generation.. as it is really worth the money. I got it for 2999 +10% off on Amazon sale.. Really worth the price..

Coming to the product.. The device in itself is great and getting it at 9800/- after getting all the sweet deals in the great India festival, its a steal..

I already own 2nd Gen Echo and the 3rd Gen Echo Dot but one problem that I am facing is that this Echo Plus keeps stopping while streaming songs on the multi room speaker setup, the other two devices are working as good as they can and continue with the steam without any disruption, ...so have applied for a replacement and hopefully that will work as intended.. Apart from this small hiccup the device does wonders and coupled with the smart home capabilities the Echo family Rocks.

Sidd-

The installation was a bit of a harangue...particularly while trying to register it with the in-home wi-fi. The temporary Amazon wifi, which is required to be turned on while setting up the device, before connecting it to the domestic wifi, was a bit unstable....and it took quite a few attempts, before I could go past that step....after that ofcourse, it was just a breeze. This is my first Alexa or Zigbee powered device......hope to gradually grow with it. My family and I like the Alexa response. She could comprehend our halting, moody english and kept up to our frenzy of changing requests for playing a song( from Amazon Prime music album, I guess). The sound quality is quite good. Music is the default use of Echo-plus for beginners. One can literally feast on the wide variety of choice one has...... but that is just a starting point. Dig deep gradually.... enable some 3rd party apps..... connect your mobiles, etc..... keep adding some Alexa-supporting hardware like light-bulbs, for starters....and you are on your way to a voice-controlled smarter home. Nice device. Like the sound quality. Like the way it understand our language. However sometimes, don't like the responses it gives when asked to play some songs. When there are multiple songs with similar lyrics it does play the one I want. It does not give options which one I actually intended to listen, just plays the search output it found. When I say 'Alexa Play Tera ghat by gajendra Verma' it plays someother songs from gajendra Verma playlist but not the song I wanted. Sometimes it plays a different song with lyric Tera ghata( old Hindi songs). Aurracry in song results is not that great (most of the times it gets it right). I really want Alexa to integrate with gaana, however it has only tie ups with saavan and Amazon music.

Like the religious skills integration. You can ask it to play from Bible, bhagwat geetha, Quran for as long as u want.

Like the news integrations with flash briefings options.

Booking cabs with ola Uber finding latest movies being played around u etc are also great. quiet often i use Alexa to tell me word meanings. Also like to play medication and healing music at times. Nice welcome addition to family for sure .

This is the perfect example of AI (Artificial Intelligence) will going to take up future of our lifestyle..entertainment...and many more..!!

Perfectly design and voice understanding is far better what we get in siri..!!

Only drawback is that its need to be plug in to play it does not have battery in built in it.😔

If you have kids in the house, they are gonna love it. My brother's kids went nuts and they developed a habit of waking up to Alexa every moring at 5. The elderly will use it too for the old songs.

And it is one of best sounding speakers for this price, so don't worry, just buy it. We bought the Prime subscription as well and most of the time it is playing some song in the background. The best thing is that it listens from very far away. Like 30-40 feet away and you don't have to shout at it. Best smart speaker. period.

Alexa, Stop playing music after 30 minutes.

I used this command daily when i go to sleep and i don't have to worry about turning the music off if i fell asleep.

Alexa, wake me up at 6.30am. or Alexa, remind me to buy pay electricity bill in the morning.

Since we don't keep phone at bedside to avoid radition sleeping, we keep it far away. And almost everyday i forget to set an alarm or keep a reminder for next morning. With Alexa it's a boon.

What i love the most?

It doesn't have a battery, so it doesn't have a fixed life. Its like a fan or a refrigerator, you buy it for long term, its not like buying a cell phone. and then buying them again and again and again.....

Even my 3 year old is able to operate it. He can't say 'Okay Google' but he can say 'Alexa' 'Aleccha' or 'Alesa'. Waysoever (if thats a word) he prenounce it, Alexa just gets lit up to play his favorite song/rhyme
